# Image compatibility

Learn the image compatibility workflow, fields, resource states, permissions, and troubleshooting in Cypacky Compute.

## Use cases

Image compatibility compares system requirements with the current configuration. The check prevents instances that lack required CPU, memory, or disk.

## Before you begin

When a message appears, review the image minimums. Select **Adjust configuration** to increase resources, or **View compatible images** to choose a recommended image.

## Page fields

| Check | Resolution |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Disk too small | Increase the system disk or choose another image |
| Memory too small | Select a larger memory shape |
| CPU architecture | Select an image for the current architecture |

## Procedure

1. Log in to the dashboard and open **Compute**.
2. Open the instance, network, image, or operations page for this topic.
3. Select the target resource and confirm its state and space.
4. Complete the fields and submit the action.
5. Open work requests or details to confirm the final state.

## States and troubleshooting

- Action unavailable: check resource state, role permissions, and project quota.
- Target missing: clear filters and confirm region and space.
- Processing takes too long: open the work request and record its ID and latest error.
- Action failed: keep the original resource state, correct the message, and retry.
