Instances are compute resources for running applications, services, or development environments. The Compute > Instances page lists instances in the current space and provides controls for creation, filtering, and bulk actions.
The instance list shows the name, region, status, size, image, network addresses, and other enabled fields. Use filters to narrow the results.
| Action | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Create instance | Configure a new instance by region, size, image, and network. | The resource uses the current space quota and incurs charges. |
| View details | View instance status, size, network, and related actions. | Only instances accessible in the current space are shown. |
| SSH connection | Open a WebSSH terminal from the dashboard. | The instance must be connectable and have a valid login method. |
| VNC console | Access the instance graphical console from a browser. | Useful for viewing the boot process or a graphical interface. |
For an explanation of every field used during creation, read Create an instance.
Before using a custom image, read Instance sizes and image capacity requirements.
